A 24-inch height by 18-inch length, thickness 0.75 inches, acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas artwork, of the Sill Branch Falls in Tennessee. The artwork has a double coat of Gamvar Gloss varnish to protect it from the elements. Since the sides are painted the artwork can be hung on the wall without a frame.

Story

Have you ever wondered about the wildlife in our forest and how they live? Well, I sure have. This little Bambi was a brave one. We went to Sill Branch Falls in Tennessee with our son, who had come to visit. Sill Branch Falls is not too much of a hike and it is a very secluded area. Spring had just set in, and this place was blooming with fresh green leaves. The little deer had just arrived for a drink of water, and we turned up. On seeing her, we kept at a distance and just watched. It was a wonderful site to see. Greenery all around, a small waterfall. The water from the fall had created a pool where this deer was quenching her thirst.  Just sitting on the rocks and listening to the water as is falls and hits the ground, the sounds of water flowing between the rocks and the freshness in the air is one that can captivate you. The smell in the air is so fresh, pristine and pure, that it can create a healing effect on the busy and stressed-out mind.

The surprising part was, when I decided to go closer. She seemed so calm and continued to drink the water. She even looked up and allowed me to take a couple of pictures of her. Sometimes I feel animals are so much at ease, when they realize, you are not going to harm them. 

The Sill Branch Falls is pretty in every season. During fall, when all the leaves are falling off the trees, it looks as if it’s raining leaves. This makes the fall look really beautiful. In winter the whole place is covered in snow and Fall is when all the trees have such breathtaking hues, that one just cannot afford to miss it.
